Andrew Aveley aka “Badger”
Nature & Culture Guide – National
Andrew Aveley offers a deeply personal and authentic Kruger experience built on years of time in the bush, a strong photographic eye, and a genuine love for sharing the wild with others. As a professional guide, safari host, and photographer, he combines knowledge, patience, and storytelling to help guests experience more than just sightings.
His safaris are about understanding animal behaviour, appreciating light and landscape, noticing the smaller details, and connecting with the true feel of the park. Although Kruger is at the heart of what he does, Andrew also leads and hosts safari experiences throughout Southern Africa. Whether you are looking for a relaxed family safari, a meaningful birding experience, or a dedicated photographic safari, he brings a calm, professional, and highly personal approach to every outing.

Jaun Slabbert
Field Guide NQF 2
I’m a qualified safari guide with a genuine passion for the wildlife and the small details that make it so special. My work is rooted in patience, respect for wildlife, and a belief that the bush is best experienced by sitting quietly and listening to the sounds around us, I aim to create experiences that feel authentic and special.
Speciality – Animal behaviour with the big cats and birds
Tamaryn “Tammy” Slieker
Field Guide NQF 2
I’m a qualified safari guide and safari consultant with a passion for creating calm, meaningful wildlife experiences that go beyond simply finding animals. My guiding style is patient, observant, and immersive, focusing on the smaller details of the bush — animal behaviour, bird calls, plant uses, and the subtle interactions that make every sighting unique.
I began my guiding career in 2015 on a Big 5 private reserve in the Eastern Cape and have experience in vehicle safaris, walking activities, photographic guiding, and family-friendly safaris. I particularly enjoy helping guests better understand animal behaviour and the stories unfolding around them in the wild.
Alongside guiding, I’m also a wildlife artist specialising in charcoal portraiture focused on wildlife conservation awareness, often drawing inspiration directly from my experiences in the bush.
